Day of Caring
Hundreds of volunteers make a difference throughout the year during
a United Way Day of Caring project. The event, which used to
take place on one day, has grown to become a year-round activity. Many
local companies have embraced the concept and regularly gather several
volunteer groups together to visit nonprofit organizations and lend a
hand.
Day of Caring is a great opportunity for team-building and
allows volunteers to make a hands-on impact in the community. Over the
past year, nearly 1,000 volunteers have participated in United Way's
Day of Caring.
